our friendship will last forever.

Because of its syrupy contents, I think of Friends Forever as my Hallmark limerick.
I did not have anyone specific in mind when it popped into my mind. After it appeared and was written down, when I read it back, it brings to mind the kids that I grew up with; my neighborhood playmates, by buddies in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, my high school band mates, and my very good friends in my church youth group.
